Signature garden trail!
Our popular Bug Trail is back and on every day up to Sunday 22nd February. it’s the perfect way to get outdoors and explore. For just £3, you can grab a map from the Dovecote Café and set off on a bug-tastic adventure through our formal gardens. Watch out for quiz questions and hidden ladybirds lurking in the bushes and plants! Once you’ve completed the quiz, head back to the café to collect your prize. No need to worry about getting every question correct – just give it your best shot and enjoy the hunt, you’ll still get a prize!

Get hands on with our exotic animals and bugs!
But that’s not all! We’ve got something even more special for those who love a bit of hands-on animal fun. Our Bug and Exotic Animal Experiences are now available to book, and they’re an absolute must for any young adventurer. Enjoy an unforgettable meet-and-greet with some of the most fascinating mini beasts and lizards. From the Ghost Mantis to Stick Insects and Katydids and more, including Bearded Dragons and our very own Bosc Monitor Lizard. This experience is suitable for all ages, but only children aged 5 and up are permitted to handle.

Not a fan of bugs? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
Our free ride-on tractors are popular with our younger visitors, and with straw bales surrounding them, and benches too, it’s the perfect pit stop for your coffee (takeaway available in the café) while the little explorers ride around the tractor area. Suitable up to age 10. Please use responsibly and children must be supervised by an adult.

Right next to our children’s play park, you’ll also find our animal area, home to a herd of energetic pygmy goats, fluffy rabbits, guinea pigs, and even a mischievous ferret family. The little ones will have tonnes of fun here, running about and spotting our friendly animals. If you’ve had your fill of cuteness, we have 5 acres of formal gardens to explore.
